Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation opened the first west coast location of their premier beauty store, Murale, in Vancouver today.

The store is located in Oakridge Centre, one of Vancouver’s higher-end malls.

I had the pleasure of attending the media release party this morning, and had a chance to explore all the special features that Murale has to offer.

1. A Benefit Brow Bar – Step up to the Benefit Brow Bar, where a licensed aesthetician will wax, pluck and fill your brows as needed. She will even wax off other facial hair. A fee applies to all these services.

I had a chance to get my brows done, and I was thrilled with the outcome.

2. Beauty Masters – these beauty consultants represent all the brands, and do not play favourites, so you will get what you want in a brand and at a price that works for you. The “beauty masters” all have years of experience in the beauty industry.

3. Skin Analysis – free computerized skin analysis in a private dermatological area. The Beauty Metrix computer will test the skin and recommend products at different price levels. It even recommends vitamins! Come back a month after, and see if your computer readings have changed since using a specific product — love the science!

4. Pharmacist on staff - Murale stores have a pharmacist on staff. Please consult this person to talk about your special needs, pregnancy, drug interactions, or any other cosmetic/pharmaceutical questions.
