Episode #58 - Sex on Blades and Listener Favourites Part One

Here we go! It's episode #58 of Lip Gloss and Laptops (MP3 file, 1 hour 5 minutes).

We had a bit of a time crunch putting the show out this week, so there are minimalist shownotes and no song. But lots of stuff in the show, which is dedicated to our listener's favourite beauty products. We've read all your emails, and had so much feedback that we had to divide it between two episodes.

One of our listeners made a very comprehensive list, and blogged it. Check out Cat's fantastic beauty favourites post.

There are too many products to link to, seriously, we talk about lots of goodies. Part Deux will be available next week. Thanks for all your letters and donations!

Thanks for the great show and thanks to the women who recommended the diva cup. I've been thinking about getting a menstrual cup and I had all kinds of questions. I found more information here.

Thank you so much for giving so much attention to my list of favorites! It made me feel really special. And you even linked to me, how cool is that!?! :)

I'm definitely going to try out tea tree oil shampoo, as well as the diva cup, and a few other products.

I wanted to mention as well, that if you're interested in trying out the Murad line or any other brands carried by Sephora, you can always ask them to make you a sample. I use a lot of Sephora products, but I almost never buy anything there without trying it out for free first. I think the only thing they won't usually make a sample of is makeup, and you can always try out the makeup in-store.

I know you don't have a Sephora in Vancouver, but the next time you go down south, you should load up! I bet they'd be especially keen on helping you out if you mention that you're beauty podcasters/bloggers. :)

great show as usual ;)

i too enjoyed "meet the robinsons" - my expectations were pretty low but i went to the 3d version and though i didn't laugh out loud and figured it out pretty quick, i did shed more than just a tear towards the end.. very heartwarming - oh and i was getting my period so.....

looking forward to part 2!
