About Shai and Pome Studio
Shai Dhali is in the house as our guest host and hair-expert. (Airdrie had her hair done by Shai a few weeks ago, and talked about it on LGL episode #50.) Shai is opening her new studio salon, Pome Studio, April 1st, 2007. Visit her at online for hair tips and samples of her work, as well as information on booking an appointment. In this show, I interview Shai all about hair, hair, hair.
Airdrie's Review
Suave Naturals Soothing Lavender Lilac Conditioner (approx $3 CDN). While prices vary from store-to-store, Airdrie has noticed that shampoo and conditioner prices, in general, have been on the rise. One product line that has maintained a low price without compromising quality and effectiveness is the Suave line. Of course this is just one blogger's opinion. Try this product, and see for yourself. The Lavender and Lilac scent is long-lasting, if that is what you are looking for. The Suave naturals line also includes other fruity-floral natural scents.
Shai Recommends
- Phyto($20 for shampoo or conditioner) - Shai uses these products in her salon.
- Paul Mitchell (she recommends the Tea Tree series for non-colour treated hair, especially for men)
- A brush that looks like a flatiron. (Update: I found one at Shopper's Drug Mart today by Goody for $11.99, and it works OK, but not as good as the high-priced real flatiron I invested in two years ago.)
If you have a question for Shai, please e-mail us: podcast {at} lipglossandlaptops {dot} com. We hope to have her back on a future show. We would also like you to email us a list of all your favourite products for our reader's choice show.
Muleos
Also mentioned on the show, Muleos. This funky product is a must see!

Ooh, do you still need guinea pigs for the Muleos? I'm definitely up for it, it's just getting warm enough here to wear mules, too... my favorite pair is black, but I have no real preference color-wise as I almost always wear them under pants. If you've got volunteers enough already, that's fine, but if you still need people, let me know!

In episode 52 you girls mentioned the Cargo "Plant Love" lipsticks. I happened to pick up one of the pink shades at Sephora and I love it! A bit pricey though, but it makes me feel better that a few dollars from the purchase goes to the St. Judes foundation. The box that the lipstick comes in has small seeds embedded inside of it that will grow into wildflowers.
I decided to try to grow some flowers out of the packaging and I buried the box a few days ago. I already have 3 little sprouts! I'll post a picture when it grows a bit more.
Great show ladies!
