Airdrie's New Year's resolution is to wear blush. The first step was to find a nice blush to match her peaches-n-cream complexion. As Kerry-Anne is a major blush collector, and recommends MAC blush, Airdrie went to MAC for a colour consult. She walked away with a great powder blush from MAC, "Gingerly" ($21 CDN, at any MAC counter). The pigments are high quality, and really brighten up the face. The MAC salespeople are great because they offer lots of make-up tips and enjoy the fun of cosmetics as much as we do.

Kerry Anne reviews a new tooth-whitening toothpaste called supersmile. This product, when used daily, does not make your teeth sensitive like some other whitening systems. What is really great is that it works on capped, bonded and bleached teeth. It cleans-away the stains in as little as one week, as Kerry Anne discovered. At a price of $30.99 US for a one month supply, the price is competitive with drugstore whitening products. Kerry Anne will review this product again in 3 weeks, when her one month supply runs-out.

Airdrie reviews the Revlon Spa Moisture Stay Pore Refiner. Listen to the show for the complete review. ($24.99 CDN at drug stores). Airdrie found the light suction interesting, noisy, but not very effective at removing plugs from pores.

Reality Check: "Going Down" on the Subway

Next week's podcast could be a bit strange, so be warned!

Thanks for mentioning me on the show! Yes, Norway is far, far away from Vancouver. :-)

I have actually been looking into buying Covergirl online, however none of the sites I have found ship outside of North America... Tips from other European listeners would be appreciated! Or I'll just pick up a thing or two when I go to Montana in March to ski. ;-)

For lots of other products than Covergirl, I can recommend my favourite online beauty store www.lookfantastic.com, based in UK.

Looking forward to next Wednesday -

Karen

I'm listening to the January 17th podcast right now. I can't believe Airdrie has never heard of tar shampoos for dandruff. I get dandruff really bad in the winter, so does my dad. I have to use it everytime I shower. I think that tar shampoos work well, although they could stand to smell a little better. I didn't know there were any shampoos for dandruff with peppermint in them though, I should try that. I use either Selsun Blue or Head and Shoulders. My roommate, Jessica, has BAD dandruff, where big chunks of scalp come off instead of flakes. It's gross..she has to take a medication to make it not so bad AND use dandruff shampoo. She uses a tar shampoo too that she got from the salon, I think it's something from Paul Mitchell.
And by the way, that Revlon pore refiner DOES sound and look like a vibrator :) haha. I've never seen those in drug stores here in the U.S. though.
I subscribed on the 15th, I love the show, I think I'll be a full-time listener from now on! :)
