VolumeExact
A new release from CoverGirl for 2007 is the VolumeExact Mascara. The brush is very similar to that of the LashExact, but the bristles are longer and fatter. The formula surrounds your lashes with something they call "Microchambers". This formula gives the lashes great clump-free volume, although I still have to apply heavily (not Tammy-Faye heavily), to get the lush look I like. Available in four colours, although Brown is not available in Canada. Also available in a waterproof formula. I love it. VolumeExact retails for $6.99USD.
Kerry Anne's Review
Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Recovery Cream is a 60-second dry scrub for hands, with a marine scent. It is a wonderful product for winter, as it exfoliates and softens dry skin, even super dry. The only drawback is the strong scent. It lasts for hours, which is fine if you like the fragrance, but if you don't, your're still stuck with it. If you can afford the $20 output for this one, go for it. Right now, Crabtree & Evelyn is having a buy two, get one free promotion on a variety of their products, so now would the time to stock up.
Airdrie's Review
Air loves the Clinique Aromatics Elixir Body Cream. It has the same unique fragrance as the perfume, but with a creamy undertone. A scented body cream is an excellent alternative to perfume in the winter, when the cold weather can wreak havoc on dry skin, and any perfumed body cream in your favourite scent is great to layer a fragrance to make it last longer. The Aromatics Elixir cream sells for $36CA or $27.50USD for 5 oz.
Airdrie rants for about five minutes about how much she loves Kiehl's Superbly Efficiennt Anti-Perspirant.
Americans are lucky because they don't need a prescription for Naproxen Sodium. It's great for menstrual cramps.
Reality Check
This week we talk about body dysmorphic disorder and plastic surgery. We support a woman's right to choose, but how much is too much? And is it even our business?

When Airdrie was talking about the Clinique Aromatics Elixir Body Cream, I was thinking how nice it sounded and how I would like to give it a try. I was surprised when you mentioned my name and mused whether I would like it Kerry Anne. Thanks for thinking of me. I will definitely look for it the next time I'm in the vicinity of a Bay or Sears store.
Mel, it isn't a scent for everyone, but we both like it. It's very strong, a spritz will do you.
I was reading an article in Allure magazine a few months ago, and it was about how to smell like a rich person, and Clinique's AE was one of the perfumes listed, as well as Chanel No. 5, of course.
It's been around since 1971, so it has lasted through the years.
I hear what you are saying about the face creams, but I Have yet to find a cheap, drugstore product that works for me. They all either break me out or do not moisturize my combination skin enough, so I end up with dry patchy spots. Honestly? I have given up on finding a good drugstore when I know I can use my Murad and it will work great. I don't spend 200/jar but I do spend probably 50 or more. If you girls are using something that works for you, please get the word out! I am sure many of us are in the same boat.
About the whole Naproxen thing - I've had it via prescription. And like you gals it worked well for me. But you might also want to try the kind of muscle/relaxant pain killer for severe back pain. (Robaxcet (sp?) Odd, but I think you can get stronger pain relief over the counter for backs than for menstrual relief. Oh wait, men, get back pain too!
Dandruff and hair loss. When I had this problem the best solution (recommended by my physician) was Nizoral an OTC shampoo that kills some fungus that causes dandruff/hair loss. It doesn't solve the problem permanently, but when I notice it coming back it gets it under control now in a shampoo or two.
Hope this helps
