Review: Dermafirm Cream
Originally used in conjunction with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser treatment, this formula is now being marketed solo as being able to reduce the appearance of cellulite, fine lines, and wrinkles. The science behind this product's effectiveness relies upon it's use in conjunction with IPL, which is a little bit deceptive to the consumer in my opinion. As a firming cream, however, we both found this cream to be effective in making our skin feel good upon application. Neither of us noticed a reduction in cellulite or wrinkles, but we will continue using it past our initial 6 week trial, and report back to you when our jars are empty. At a price of $150 US (now on sale for $119 on their website). We do not recommend this product at this point. The price is just too high for what you are getting. Listen to the show for a full review.
Three Great Ideas for Christmas Gifts:
1. Wickedly Hot Chocolate 3-in-1 Body Wash, Bubble Bath, and Shampoo from Bath and Body Works. ($12 US for 16 oz)
2. Aspen Winter Home Fragrance Oil from Bath and Body Works ($7.50 US) (no picture available)
3. For the man or woman on your Christmas list, Kiehl's Original Musk fragrance line. Available at several price points, this classic musk is wonderful. I like the Eau de Toilette spray. It would make a great gift for your dad, brother, or husband, even if that man does not wear fragrance normally.
Only consider the Steamed Milk Home Fragrance Oil from The Body Shop if you enjoy very sweet scents. The notes of “warm milk”, sugar and vanilla are sickly sweet, and the aroma permeated my home for close to twenty four hours. The Body Shop has a wide selection of fragrance oils for the holiday season. I wish I had chosen more wisely. ($7.50 CA/US for 10ml/0.3 oz)
A great stocking stuffer for women, kids and metrosexuals alike is the humble bath bomb. Lush has some fabulous fizzies, but with a little effort, and less spending on your part, you can make your own at home. A personal gift is always appreciated, and your house will be filled with a lovely fragrance as you work. There are various recipes that can be found online for bath bombs (I'm going to try the one from not martha), and all the ingredients are pretty standard. The only ingredient that will take a bit of sleuthing on your part is citric acid (also known as vitamin C), which might be found at natural food/health stores, craft stores or pharmacies. I purchased mine from Cranberry Lane. Many craft shops also sell pre-assembled bath bomb kits with all the ingredients you need included.

Kerry Anne, I bought and have tried the Covergirl mascara and was impressed with the formulation of it! I think it's a great mascara and I like it but I don't know if I love it. It was definetly worth the money though, and I don't regret having bought it and will use the whole tube. Thanks so much for the recommendation and answering my comment. :)
Victoria's dirty little secret is no more. Today on the CBC news it was announced their catalogue will no longer be made from "pulp supplied from some parts of the forests of Alberta and British Columbia. " Cutting down these trees has a negitive affect on the habitat of the mountain caribou. In addition the Victoria Secret catalogue will contain ten percent recycled paper.
