Airbrush Legs (Nude Glow) by Sally Hansen (about $10): Review
Holiday parties are coming, and cocktail dresses are coming out of the closet. Airdrie gives Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs a thumbs-up for giving your legs an all-over fine finished look. This product has been equated to spray-on panty-hose:
- Enriched with Vitamin K, it covers and helps fade freckles, veins and imperfections
- Long-lasting, and transfer-resistant
- Won't streak, run or hide your pedicure
- use it to cover or disguise that tattoo so your mother won't freak at Christmas
- don't spray on hairy legs; shave first
- comes in five shades.
Blackheads: Don't get mad, get even!
Blackheads can occur anywhere on your skin, but most frequently appear on the face. When a pore gets clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria, a yellowish or blackish plug of material accumulates and you're left with a blackhead. With blackheads, the pore stays open. But if the pore closes, a whitehead forms. Presence of blackheads and whiteheads is the basic definition of acne. (source: Bella Online).
Paula Begoun, the Cosmetic's Cop, presents a Battle Plan for Getting Rid of Blackheads on her webpage. She has her own line of products for sale at reasonable prices, but you can substitute other products with the same active ingredients.
Listen to the show and read the links above. Blackheads are not an illness. They are human, but can be reduced with proper care.
MAC Cosmetics has introduced a Holiday/Formal Black line just in time for party season. Holiday teams pretty eye and lip palettes, or makeup brushes, with sleek black cases. Each case is adorned with a different type of fabric including fishnet, suedette, lace and more. They range in price from $32US($42CA) for the palettes to $217US($260CA) for the Pret-a-Porter Brush Collection, a luxurious set of eight. The highlight of the collection is a lip palette that carries all six of the Viva Glam lip colours in a metallic/faux beaver case for $32US($42CA).
Tom Ford's Black Orchid is worth mentioning for the price tag alone. A half ounce of this spicy oriental perfume is $600 US in a limited edition opaque black crystal Lalique bottle. Thriftier women may be more comfortable with the eau de parfum at a modest $135 a pop.
