Airdrie's Review: "Always Fresh" Pads
Hey, let's admit it. We all could use a little freshness when Auntie-Flo comes to visit. For years I have used Always pads exclusively, and I was happy to discover that they now have a lightly scented variety called "Always Fresh". These pads are lightly scented, and do not irritate or smell obviously deodorizing. Only you will know. Feel fresh; try this product. (US residents can get free samples of Always stuff. Click here)
Kerry Anne's Review
CoverGirl TruBlend Whipped Foundation is magnificent on my skin. It is available in 15 shades and apparently matches 97% of skin tones. I have indeed found a perfect match in Classic Ivory. I love the way this foundation glides onto my skin and blends endlessly. The result is a smooth, lightweight, and very natural looking finish. In my opinion, this drugstore bargain outperforms many high-end foundations. I recommend it highly! ($12.99CA or $8-10US for 28ml/.94 fl.oz.)

I haven't tried covergirl's trueblend whipped before but I have tried their radiance and others trueblend and I adore how it looks.
I was wondering about those pads as well, thanks for the news.
Hi there -
I've never written to a blogger/podcaster before, but I love your show. I listen to it on TiVo, actually, through the podcaster application. I like to lie on the couch with a diet coke and relax while listening to your show, and it's become sort of a "me time" thing for me. I especially love hearing the slight 'clink' as one of you puts a wine glass down on the table while talking. :-)
Along with your product reviews, I really like hearing you talk and seeing the ways that Canadians are different than Americans. (You do sound like the Saturday Night Live 'Delicious Dish' ladies, btw, which I think is great!) Vancouver BC is not that far from Seattle (my husband's hometown), but to me, you both have cute accents, talk slower than I'm used to, and sound so *polite*, even when you're talking about umbrella shaped tampons and the ugly of a penis.
Also, where I live anyway (San Francisco), tipping a manicurist 10% would be insulting - here you should give 15% minimum, just like at a restaurant (though 15% at a restaurant in the city is the BARE minimum, really). Check out http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/2006/10/12/basic-tips-on-tipping-how-much-and-to-whom/ . I also saw this about tipping in Canada, from http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A640018 :
"Most service staff in Canada expect something in the 10-20% tip range, depending on what city, if it's French or English Canada, and the level of service. Tipping is expected for restaurants, bars, food delivery and taxis. You should not try to tip the police, especially the Royal Canadian Mountain Police - they will not appreciate it. 15% is a good tip in a restaurant. In Montreal, tips for a good meal at a good restaurant with good service should be tipped more. In most of English Canada, you would find it a lot harder to have the same experience, and anyway would not be expected to tip as much."
Sorry to leave such a long comment, but I used to blog and always thought it was fun to get comments, so I hope you don't mind. Please keep up your podcast - I know it must be a lot of work, but I really enjoy it!
Great podcast! A good argument for not using scented pads is if you have fragrance allergies, which I guess is pretty obvious. Lol! However, for that reason I'm glad that they don't scent all of 'em. Anyhoo, great podcast, I enjoy it, keep it up!
I thank you for your comment.
