Fanplastico Winner

Darcy, our winner of the MAC Fanplastico draw, recently sent us some pictures of herself wearing the Lip Laquer we sent her. Congratulations, Darcy, work those red lips! Stay tuned for more giveaways in the future, and thank you to all of our listeners for being so supportive.

Red Lips

Tip: Red lipstick bleeds quite easily on some women, it is a good idea to use a liner that blends well with the lipstick, either in a similar colour, a neutral colour, or an invisible liplining pen.

Combat Summer Shine

Smashbox Anti-Shine

We were at the local Smashbox counter the other day, and tried a product that would have tied in well with our recent Powder episode. Anti-Shine by Smashbox is an excellent mattifying powder-gel that comes in a tube, so may be a little easier to tote around in your purse. You can apply it with a sponge, or your fingers. Putting a dab on our oily areas really did control shine without any of the telltale "powdery" look, and the girl at the counter said it holds up well on her through a night of dancing. Can be used before applying foundation, or for touch-ups throughout the day. ($24 US,1 fl oz, 30ml)

The Saga Continues...

Airdrie got the iPod. I really didn't care because I already have one, but my husband was supposed to "surprise" Air in the middle of the last episode by challenging her to a bikini "waxoff", the prize being the coveted iPod. The winner would have been the one who had the most hair removed by volume, and my husband thought he'd be a shoo-in to win. He cowered when he heard Air and I debating during the recording and the ensuing "he doesn't deserve it" conversation. Too bad. That would have been some good podcasting.

I know some listeners were hoping we'd be benevolent enough to hold a giveaway for it, but I don't think Hank Azaria himself could have pried that iPod away from Airdrie.
